The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has resigned as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This comes after a legal ruling that invalidated her right to occupy the role.

The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, accepted her stepping down on Monday. She commented that the appeals court finding made it impossible for the official to lead the department effectively.

"Do not interpret compliance for surrender," she declared. "My fight will now reach across the nation."
