Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize
Announced recently
England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
